• LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

  • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 61 Street to NE 64 Street between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
  • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 64 Street to NE 6 Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

• DAYTIME FULL CLOSURE OF NW 14 STREET

  Through Monday, September 1 - NW 14 Street from NW 3 Avenue to NW 1 Place will be closed Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., to erect precast roadway segments. Drivers and pedestrians can use the detours shown here.

  • Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:  
    • Turn right on NW 3 Avenue, then turn left on NW 13 Street
    • Turn left on NW 1 Place to connect with NW 14 Street
  • Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:  
    • Turn right on NW 1 Place, then turn left on NW 16 Street
    • Turn left on NW 2 Avenue to continue onto NW 16 Street
    • Turn left on NW 3 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

   

• I-95 LANE CLOSURES

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - Up to two lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21​​​​​​​ - Up to two lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.

• I-395 MAINLINE LANE CLOSURES

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. 

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

• S.R. 836 LANE CLOSURES

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21​​​​​​​ - Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.

• COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Friday will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.

  
  The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:

  • Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
  • Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
  • Turn right at South Miami Avenue
  • Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
  • Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace

  Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.

• LANE CLOSURES ON NE 13 STREET

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - Two lanes on NE 13 Street will be closed from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for roadway work.

• FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, NE 13 STREET AND SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE

  Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - The following closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for drainage and roadway work. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.

  • All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
  • All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
  • All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street

• FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836

  Thursday, August 13, Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 through Friday, August 21 - All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed as needed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days. Drivers can:

  • Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
  • Turn right on NW 7 Street
  • Turn right on NW 17 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

• Lanes can be closed during the following hours:

  
  For construction along Bird Road requiring lane closures:

  • Eastbound: 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., weekdays
  • Westbound: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., weekdays

  
  For construction along LeJeune requiring lane closures:

  • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and weekends
  • 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
  • 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights

• Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.

  • No lane closures scheduled.

  Access to businesses and residences will be maintained. Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be established with clear signage. Lane closure information is posted weekly on the department's website, www.southflroads.com.

  Lanes can be closed during the following hours

  Weekdays, nights and weekends: 

  • 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  Stormwater drainage work closures will be in place:

  • 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights

• LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

  Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. Lanes can be closed during the following hours on non-event days:

  • Single and double-lane closures along S.R. 886/Port Boulevard:
  • 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays
  • Single and double-lane closures along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard:
  • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays
  • 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., Fridays and Saturdays
  • Westbound S.R. 886/Port Boulevard: Up to two lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Tuesday, August 18 through Thursday, August 20, 2026.
  • Eastbound S.R. 886/Port Boulevard: Up to two lanes will be closed from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday, August 18 through Thursday, August 20, 2026.
  • ​​​Please note that at least one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic at all times. This schedule may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
