Access Management Review Committee (AMRC) Meeting

The Florida Department of Transportation, District Six, will hold two virtual Access Management Review Committee (AMRC) Meetings on September 3, 2026. These meetings will be to review and make decisions related to driveway variances and operational issues related to specific access/connection permits submitted by property owners/developers.
The morning session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for staff to present background information to the AMRC and for open discussion among the AMRC members and Department staff. No public comment will be accepted at the morning meeting. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Six, has initiated a PD&E Study for the S.R. 990/Killian Drive Corridor from SW 97 Avenue to SW 82 Avenue in Miami-Dade County, Florida. FDOT will further evaluate, develop concepts, and provide information necessary for FDOT to reach a decision on the location, and conceptual design to meet the project’s purpose and need.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 2 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT.
WHY: The purpose of the study is to address the operational deficiencies to relieve current and future congestion along the S.R. 9A/I-95 corridor.
The workshop will consist of a formal presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by a question and answer session. Staff will be available to answer questions in the order they are received and as time permits. If your question is not responded to during the workshop, a response will be provided in writing afterwards. The presentation will provide an overview of the proposed alternatives for the project, including social and environmental effects. Persons wishing to submit statements, in place of or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the workshop or by sending them to the Community Outreach Specialist. All statements postmarked on or before October 3, 2026 will become part of the workshop record.
