Lane Closures

View project: S.R. 970/Downtown Distributor Ramps Rehabilitation Project

• Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.

  Closures may be in place through 4/13:

  • 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Thursday nights
  • One lane will remain open

  Access to businesses and residences will be maintained. Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be established with clear signage. Lane closure information is posted weekly on the department's website, www.southflroads.com.

• Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
  Lanes can be closed during the following hours, weekdays and weekends:
  · 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., northbound and southbound
  · 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., northbound
  · 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., southbound

• LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

  Lane closures shall occur only during non-peak hours or on non-event days/weekends. Non-peak hours are:

  • In the eastbound direction:
  • 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., within the limits of the school zone
  • 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., while school zone is active
  • In the westbound direction:
  • 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. within the limits of a school zone
  • 5 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., while school zone is active

  Lane closures shall not be permitted during school speed zone hours where such closures will affect traffic flow in the vicinity of the school speed zones.

• LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

  • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 61 Street to NE 64 Street between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
  • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 64 Street to NE 6 Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

• LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

  Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. Lanes can be closed during the following hours on non-event days:

  • Single and double-lane closures along S.R. 886/Port Boulevard:
  • 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays
  • Single and double-lane closures along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard:
  • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays
  • 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., Fridays and Saturdays

• Nighttime single-lane closures will take place on the Channel 5 Bridge Sunday, April 12, through Thursday, April 16, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

  Flaggers will periodically stop traffic in one direction to allow vehicles from the opposite direction to pass safely.

• Nighttime single-lane closures are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday, April 12, through Thursday, April 16.
