The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project located along State Road (SR) 972/Coral Way/SW 3 Avenue from SW 12 Avenue to Brickell Avenue, in Miami-Dade County. 

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

  • Increasing the width of bike lanes 
  • Adding a wide sidewalk between SW 15 Raod and the M-path
  • Improving stormwater drainage 
  • Removing abandoned driveways
  • Reconstructing damaged driveways
  • Upgrading pedestrian ramps, signs and signals
  • Reconstructing uplifted sidewalks 
  • Repaving and restriping the roadway                                                                                                     

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC

During construction, there will be temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours will have effects on traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.
