The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project located along State Road (SR) 972/Coral Way/SW 3 Avenue from SW 12 Avenue to Brickell Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Increasing the width of bike lanes
- Adding a wide sidewalk between SW 15 Raod and the M-path
- Improving stormwater drainage
- Removing abandoned driveways
- Reconstructing damaged driveways
- Upgrading pedestrian ramps, signs and signals
- Reconstructing uplifted sidewalks
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC
During construction, there will be temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours will have effects on traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.
