423251-2: SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Road Segment One, from Broward County Ln to W of SR 821/Florida's Turnpike

 

 
UPCOMING TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
 
Sunday, September 25, 2022: Northbound lanes along Okeechobee Road will be detoured nightly to the southbound side of the road, between NW 154 Street to NW 117 Avenue. Travel lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction. This detour will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately four weeks.
 

 

 

  • Monday, October 3, 2022: The current traffic shift configuration along the NW 154 Street intersection will be modified. See map below.

 

 
 
Ongoing Construction Activites
 
  • Performing additional drainage work along:
    • the medians and northbound Okeechobee Road
    • SR 997/Krome Avenue
    • NW 129 Avenue and Frontage Road
  • Installing light pole bases along northbound and southbound Okeechobee Road and the frontage roads
  • Pouring concrete at the new intersection and areas along southbound Krome Avenue
  • Installing Intelligent Transporation System conduits along northbound Okeechobee Road
  • Performing and paving roadway widening along northbound and southbound Okeechobee Road
 
Lane Closures
 
  • Continuous single lane closure along the southbound and northbound inside lane from the Broward County Line to north of NW 154 Street.
  • Nighttime construction activities are taking place from 6 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Temporary single lane closures south of NW 154 Street, in both directions, between the nonpeak hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Temporary shoulder closures along SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Road, in both directions, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

423251-5 SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Rd Segment Two, from E of NW 107 Ave to E of NW 116 Way/Hialeah Gardens Blvd

 

 

UPCOMING TRAFFIC PATTERNS:

 

Starting Friday, September 23, 2022, at 9 p.m., a full closure of the Frontage Road between NW 98 Avenue and Hialeah Gardens Boulevard will take place. This closure will be implemented until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022. During this time, the construction crew will work on the installation of the 102” drainage pipe crossing the Frontage Road. Please follow the posted detour signage. 

 

 
Ongoing Construction Activities
 
  • Performing roadway widening and drainage installation work along NW 116 Way and the shoulders of northbound Okeechobee Rd and Frontage Rd
  • Installing the following:
    • 102-inch drainage culvert from the NW 97 Ave Canal to the C-6 Canal
    • Retaining walls along Hialeah Gardens Blvd
  • Demolition of the southbound/west side of the NW 116 Way Bridge
 
Lane Closures
 
  • A single lane closure along NW 116 Way from Frontage Rd to W 68 St, in both the northbound and southbound direction.
  • A single lane closure along Okeechobee Rd from NW 92 Ave to NW 107 Ave, in both the northbound and southbound direction.
 
Closures will take place Monday through Saturday during the following hours:
 
  • 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekdays
  • 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on weekends
