The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project located along State Road (SR) 5/Biscayne Boulevard at various intersections, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

Removing current crosswalks to make way for new signal controlled mid-block crossings to improve pedestrian safety at the following intersections:
- NE 85 Street
- between NE 83 Street and NE 83 Terrace
- NE 74 Street
- NE 54 Street
- NE 48 Street
- NE 18 Street
- Removing parallel parking between NE 83 Street and NE 83 Terrace to make way for the new signalized mid-block crossing
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
- Adding a new crosswalk on the north leg of the intersection of SR 5/Biscayne Boulevard and NE 54 Street
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC
During construction, temporary lane closures and detours will have effects on traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.
