  • Extending the eastbound dual left turn lanes to improve the flow of traffic at the intersection

• Upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signals, signage and pavement markings

RESILIENCY

• Upgrading drainage pipes and the stormwater pump system to improve capacity

SUPPLY CHAIN

• Repaving and restriping to preserve the service life of the road

TECHNOLOGY

• Installing pavement traffic detectors to identify vehicles approaching the traffic lights

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

• This project creates opportunities for contractors, which results in positive economic benefits for the workers and the community

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. Lanes can be closed during the following hours:

• SR 5/US 1/Biscayne Boulevard single lane closures will occur during non-peak hours or non-event days. Non-peak hours are:
• 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays and weekends
• SR 922/NE 123 Street and side street single lane closures will occur during non-peak hours or on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:
• 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays and weekends
