The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project on February 10, 2025 along SR 934/W/E 21 Street/NW 74 Street from W 4 Avenue to E 4 Avenue in Miami-Dade County.

  • Upgrading the traffic signal at the Palm Avenue intersection to implement a flashing yellow left turn signal to improve traffic flow

  • Upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signals, signage, and pavement markings

  • Modifying the stormwater drainage system within the project limits

 


 

SUPPLY CHAIN

  • Repaving and restriping to preserve the service life of the road

 


 

TECHNOLOGY

  • Upgrading lighting at signalized crosswalks to enhance pedestrian visibility

 


 

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

  • This project creates opportunities for contractors, which results in positive economic benefits for the wokers and the community

 


LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Travel lanes and sidewalks will be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:

  • 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday
  • 11 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Friday and Saturday

For undergound drainage work only:

  • 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday through Monday (Excluding Holidays)
