The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a pedestrian project on March 17, 2025 along State Road (SR) 25/NW 36 Street from east of NW 10 Avenue to west of NW 11 Avenue in Miami-Dade County

  • Constructing a new mid-block crossing on SR 25/NW 36 Street and NW 11 Avenue

 

SAFETY

  • Upgrading lighting and installing new vehicular and pedestrian signals, signage and crosswalks within the project limits
  • Widening the current sidewalks
  • Reconstructing the existing driveways

 


 

RESILIENCY

  • Repaving and restriping to preserve the service life of the road

 


 

SUPPLY CHAIN

  • Replacing and upgrading pedestrian curb ramps within the project limits

 


 

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

  • This project creates opportunities for contractors, which results in positive economic benefits for the workers and the community

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. SR 25/NW 36 Street lane closures shall occur during non-peak hours on non-event days/weekends. Non-peak hours are:

  • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday
  • 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights
