Welcome
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has completed a roadway improvement project along SR 5/Whitehead Street from Fleming Street to Truman Avenue.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Replacing damaged sidewalks
- Repaving and pavement reconstruction
- Upgrading pedestrian signals, detectors, and ramps
- Upgrading existing lighting to Light Emitting Diode (LED)
- Upgrading signage along the corridor
- Restriping the roadway
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION:
- Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be clearly marked
- Any required lane closures will occur on non-event days and during non-peak hours
- Non-peak hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
