The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project located at State Road (SR) 817/NW 27 Avenue from Sesame Street to Dunad Avenue, in Miami-Dade County. 

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

• Adding a new midblock pedestrian High Intensity Crosswalk Beacon (HAWK) crosswalk between Sesame Street and Dunad Avenue
• Modifying the median to accommodate the new crosswalk
• Adding new signage for the crosswalk
• Upgrading existing signage and pavement markings                                                         

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC

During construction, temporary lane closures and detours will have effects on traffic. Vehicular and pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.
