The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a bridge project along State Road (SR) 5/US 1/Overseas Highway on the Channel 5 Bridge, on March 8, 2021, in Monroe County.

• Nighttime single-lane closures will take place on the Channel 5 Bridge Sunday, February 22 through Thursday, February 26, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
• Flaggers will periodically stop traffic in one direction to allow vehicles from the opposite direction to pass safely.

WORK TO BE PERFORMED

• Repairing columns underneath the bridge
• Replacing bridge bearing pads and repairing surrounding concrete

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Travel lanes and sidewalks will be closed only during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours include:

• 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights.
