The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project the week of November 2, 2023 along State Road (SR) 5/Overseas Highway from Mile Marker (MM) 97.0 to MM 100.0 in Monroe County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
- Widening and repaving of shoulders
- Side street reconstruction at Ocean Drive and Second Avenue
- Replacing guardrail
- Modifying some driveways
- Upgrading roadway signage and pavement markings
- Miscellaneous drainage improvements
- Landscape improvements
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Travel lanes and sidewalks will be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:
- 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays
- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
