PROJECT WORK SCOPE

FDOT is committed to ensuring the State’s infrastructure serves residents, businesses, and visitors to meet their current and future transportation needs. Benefits of this project include:

  • Installing pedestrian midblock crossings at the following locations along NW 79 Street:
    • Between NW 15 Avenue and NW 14 Place
    • Between NW 13 Court between NW 14 Court
    • Between NW 9 Avenue and NW 8 Avenue
    • Between NW 4 Avenue and NW 3 Avenue
  • Installing pedestrian curb ramps and detectable warning surfaces
  • Modifying driveways and upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signals, signs, and pavement markings
  • Widening the designated eastbound left-turn lane on NW 79 Street to access northbound NW 17 Avenue
  • Modifying the existing median at NW 79 Street between NW 15 Avenue and NW 14 Place
  • Enhancing lighting at new midblock crossings

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Travel lanes and sidewalks will be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:

  • 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., weekdays and weekends
