PROJECT SUMMARY:
 
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is currently working on a bridge rehabilitation project at SR 9/NW 27 Avenue Over Miami River, Bridges #870731 and #870763. This rehabilitation project addresses critical structural, mechanical and electrical deficiencies and incorporates the modernization of control systems and control house renovations.
 
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

COMMUNITIES
  • Control house improvements, window, ceiling tile and door replacement

  • Replacing steel open grid decks and repair of concrete-filled deck areas
  • Replacing motor control center (MCC)

  • Replacing hydraulic components
  • Installing rod seal leakage reservoirs
  • Adjusting span lock operation with timers and proper pressure relief settings

 


 
SUPPLY CHAIN
  • FDOT invests in roadways and transportation facilities to facilitate the movement of goods that serves our community and beyond
 
 

 
TECHNOLOGY
  • Completing modernization of drive and control systems
  • Integrating User Detection into the control system
 

 
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
 
  • This project creates opportunities for contractors, which results in economic benefits for workers and the community
 
 

                                                                                                             
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC

During construction, temporary lane closures will affect traffic. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage.
