The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a landscape project along State Road (SR) 5/Overseas Highway from Mile Marker (MM) 75.02 TO MM 81.44, in Monroe County.

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

• Installing native trees and palms to improve aesthetics of the roadway
• Adding a landscape buffer along the roadway
• Removing and replacing diseased and damaged trees

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC (MOT):

Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will have minimal effects on traffic. Work is expected to begin August 2025 and last about six months for installation and two years for an establishment period. Please note that the construction schedule is subject to change.
