The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project along State Road (SR) 934/NW 79 Street from NW 27 Avenue to NW 1 Place, in Miami-Dade County.

WORK TO BE PERFORMED: 

• Eliminating left turns at the following locations along NW 79 Street:
  • NW 15 Avenue
  • NW 14 Place
  • NW 9 Avenue
  • NW 8 Court
• Installing midblock pedestrian crossings at several locations
• Removing unpermitted driveways
• Upgrading pedestrian signage, signals and ramps
• Improving left turn lanes at the intersection of NW 79 Street and NW 17 Avenue
• Improving lighting at proposed pedestrian crossings

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: 

During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Access will be maintained. Flaggers will be used to control traffic flow.
