About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has completed a roadway improvement project along SR 5/Whitehead Street from Fleming Street to Truman Avenue.
 
PROJECT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
  • Replacing damaged sidewalks
  • Repaving and pavement reconstruction
  • Upgrading pedestrian signals, detectors, and ramps
  • Upgrading existing lighting to Light Emitting Diode (LED)
  • Upgrading signage along the corridor
  • Restriping the roadway

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION:

  • Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be clearly marked
  • Any required lane closures will occur on non-event days and during non-peak hours
  • Non-peak hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
