About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project on April 7, 2025 along S.R. 860/Miami Gardens Drive from west of NW 27 Avenue to east of NE 5 Avenue in Miami-Dade County.

  • Removing abandoned driveways within the project limits
  • Upgrading lighting and installing new vehicular and pedestrian signals, signage and crosswalks

  • Reconstructing damaged sidewalks and driveways
  • Removing the concrete median at SR 860/Miami Gardens Drive and NW 5 Avenue
  • Widening the median at SR 860/Miami Gardens Drive between NW 5 Court and NW 5 Avenue

 

RESILIENCY

  • Repaving and restriping to preserve the service life of the road
  • Upgrading the stormwater drainage system to improve capacity

  • Installing new countdown pedestrian signals and push button poles

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Travel lanes and sidewalks will be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:

  • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and weekends
  • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday
  • 11:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Friday and Saturday
