About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project on September 2, 2025, along State Road (S.R.) 916/NW 138 Street from east of NW 67 Avenue to NW 57 Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.

  • Enhancing light and installing a flashing beacon sign at the NW 67 Avenue westbound approach

 


 

SAFETY

  • Reconstructing damaged sidewalks, installing pedestrians curb ramps, high emphasis crosswalks, and detectable warning surfaces

 


 

RESILIENCY

  • Repaving and restriping to preserve the service life of the road

 


 

SUPPLY CHAIN

  • Upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signals, signage, and pavement markings

 


 

TECHNOLOGY

  • Installing a Permanent Traffic Monitoring Site (PTMS) 

 


 

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

  • This project creates opportunities for contractors, which results in positive economic benefits for the wokers and the community

 


LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Travel lanes and sidewalks shall only be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:
  • 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., weekends and weekdays
  • Please be advised that work may be performed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weekdays.
  • For guardrail installation only:
  • Fridays, 9 p.m. through Mondays, 5 a.m. (excluding holidays)
