The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin an intersection project the week of November 03, 2025 along S.R. A1A/Collins Avenue and 23 Street in Miami-Dade County.

• Replacing the intersection’s power supply
• Installing a new power supply connection pole and switch

RESILIENCY

• Replacing electrical wiring
• Repaving and restriping the work area
• Restoring pedestrian sidewalk in work area

TECHNOLOGY

• Upgrading vehicle detection loops

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

• FDOT employs local contractors in an effort to provide positive economic benefits to the community
   

LANE CLOSURE AND DETOUR INFORMATION

Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. Lanes can be closed during the following hours:

• 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and weekends
• 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
• 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights
