The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin a roadway project on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, along State Road (S.R.) 5/U.S. 1/Overseas Highway on Big Pine Key, in Monroe County. The project involves replacing a Key Deer Grate between MM 31.4 and MM 31.5. This $976,000 project will take approximately three months to complete.
