FDOT District Six is working with our Miami-Dade County partners to create a safe, connected, and accessible countywide bicycle network. In 2022 FDOT has finalized the Miami-Dade Connectivity Assessment to build upon previous efforts by focus on cohesiveness and connectivity. The Assessment establishes a clear vision of the future system and provides guidance for prioritization to attain successful implementation. Moving forward, FDOT aims to foster strong and committed partnerships with local communities and leaders as well as County, State, and local agencies to implement a low-stress system of interconnected bicycle facilities. Individual Municipality Packets
Each municipality within Miami-Dade County will receive their own information packet regarding the proposed network in relation to their jurisdiction. Within these packets is an abridged description of this Assessment, with an emphasis on the Core Concepts. Static maps will include all proposed projects within individual municipal boundaries, highlighting priority projects for the area and anticipated jurisdiction of each project. This map is accompanied with a project bank table offering additional details for each alignment.
