The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project on June 2, 2025, along State Road (S.R.) 826/Frontage Road/NW 77 Court from NW 154 Street to NW 164 Street, in Miami-Dade County.

  • Constructing a shared-use path along NW 77 Court adjacent to the Peter Pike Canal

 

 

SAFETY

  • Enhancing lighting and installing new school zone beacons, speed feedback signs, and rectangular rapid flashing beacon crosswalk within the project limits

 

 

RESILIENCY

  • Upgrading the stormwater drainage system to improve capacity
  • Repaving and restriping to preserve the service life of the road

 

 

SUPPLY CHAIN

  • Replacing and upgrading pedestrian curb ramps and guardrail

 

 

TECHNOLOGY

  • Installing speed feedback signs

 

 

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

  • This project creates opportunities for contractors, which results in positive economic benefits for the wokers and the community

 

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Single lane closures shall occur only during non-peak hours or non-event days/weekends. Non-peak hours are:

  • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on non-school days
  • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., all other days
