Project Summary

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has begun Phase 2 of constructing a new detection system at 24 expressway entrance and exit ramps throughout Miami-Dade County, as part of its ongoing Statewide Wrong-Way Driving Initiative.

• Installing Light-emitting Diode (LED) highlighted signs
• Installing vehicle detection systems
• Upgrading pavement markings
• Milling and resurfacing the off-ramps
• Installing high emphasis crosswalks

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION:

Travel lanes shall be closed only during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:

9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights

DETOUR INFORMATION:

During this project, it will be necessary to establish detours for specific construction activities. Please follow all posted signage throughout the work zone.
