The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project located along State Road (SR) 934/NW 74 Street/W-E 21 Street from W 4 Avenue to E 4 Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Enhancing traffic signals
- Removing an abandoned driveway
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
- Modifying the stormwater drainage, manholes, and curb ramps
- Upgrading damaged sidewalks, pedestrian signing and pavement markings
- Upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signage
- Adding new pedestrian countdown signals and upgrading lighting at signalized crosswalks
- Realigning NW 74 Street northbound to provide proper sidewalk width at the southeast corner of E 3 Avenue
- Upgrading the traffic signal at the Palm Avenue intersection to include a flashing yellow left-turn signal
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC
During construction, temporary lane closures and detours could affect traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.
