The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project along State Road (SR) 953/LeJeune Road from NW 79 Street/E 25 Street to NW 103 Street/E 49 Street in Miami-Dade County. Click here to sign up for construction alerts.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED
- Installing traffic signal mast arms at E 42 Street and E 41 Street
- Reconstructing the mid-block crosswalk near Flamingo Elementary
- Reconstructing traffic medians between E 40 Street and E 44 Street
- Reconstructing concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, and curb and gutters
- Upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signage and signalization features
- Installing and/or replacing light poles with new Light-emitting Diodes (LED)
- Enhancing drainage structures
- Removing abandoned driveways
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Travel lanes and sidewalks will be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:
- 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and weekends
- 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
- 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights
DETOUR INFORMATION
Vehicular and pedestrian detours will be established at times as needed. Specific detour information will be provided before the corresponding construction activity is scheduled.
