Welcome
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a roadway project along West Dixie Highway in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED
-
Modifying through and left turn movements at the following locations along SR 909/W Dixie Hwy:
- Eastbound (EB) NE 132 St, NE 137 St, NE 145 St, and NE 150 St
- Westbound (WB) NE 150 St, NE 149 St , NE 148 St, NE 146 St, NE 142 St, NE 137 St, and NE 133 St

Modifying medians at the following locations:
- NE 132 St, NE 133 St, NE 144 St, NE 145 St, NE 146 St, NE 148 St, NE 149 St, and NE 150 St
- Installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of NE 9 Ave
- Installing a new mid-block pedestrian crossing at NE 141 St
- Installing stormwater drainage structures
- Installing pedestrian ramps, detectable warning surfaces, signage, pavement markings, countdown signals, and pushbuttons
- Reconstructing damaged sidewalks, curb and gutter, and removing abandoned driveways
- Modifying landscape at various locations
- Repaving and restriping the road
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Travel lanes may be closed only during nonpeak hours on nonevent days. Nonpeak hours are:
- 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Weekdays and Weekends
- 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Weekdays and Weekends
No construction activities shall be performed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. except for repaving and restriping the roadway.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be established at times and may exceed past the non-peak lane closure hours. Specific detour information will be provided before the corresponding construction activity is scheduled.
