The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has begun an intersection improvement project along Miami Gardens Drive in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED
- Installing a signalized pedestrian crosswalk along Miami Gardens Drive near NW 30 Avenue
- Reconstructing a portion of the median
- Repairing damaged sidewalks
- Installing pedestrian curb ramps, high emphasis crosswalks and detectable warning surfaces
- Installing signage and pavement markings
- Upgrading streetlights at various locations
- Relocating palm trees within the median
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Travel lanes may be closed only during nonpeak hours on nonevent days. Nonpeak hours are:
- 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Weekdays and Weekends
- 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
- 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights
No construction activities shall be performed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. except for repaving and restriping the roadway. Lane closures shall occur from:
- 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
- 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights
