The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway reconstruction project along State Road (SR) 25/US 27/Okeechobee Road from west of NW 138 Street to east of NW 107 Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.

  • Reconstructing and widening the roadway with concrete pavement
  • Widening the bridge over the Miami Canal at NW 138 Street and NW 107 Avenue to provide a wider turning radius for large trucks
  • Improving the intersection of SR 25 at NW 107 Avenue and NW 138 Street by adding new turning lanes, signals and pedestrian crosswalks
  • Installing overhead electronic message signs and traffic monitoring cameras
  • Adding a raised median at NW 138 Street and the Frontage Road
  • Adding a westbound auxiliary lane along SR 25 to the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike
