South Florida Roads (Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties)

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has begun a bridge rehabilitation project at various locations along SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway, in Monroe County.
Repairing the slopes under seven of nine bridges
Repairing fender system outside of the channel on Channel 5 and Snake Creek Canal Bridges
Repairing navigational lights on Channel 5 and Snake Creek Canal Bridges
Repairing Bahia Honda Bridge
To do this work safely, it will be necessary to perform traffic shifts and close travel lanes at times. Lane and shoulder closures shall occur only during non-peak hours on non-event days/nights/weekends. Non-peak hours are:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
