436565-1-52-01, 423251-3-52-01 : SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Rd from E of NW 87 Ave to NW 74 Ave, including SR 826/Palmetto Expy

  • The dedicated right-turn lane, along NW South River Dr, to access the southbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway on-ramp has been removed. Motorists will still be able to make right turn to access the on-ramp from the remaining travel lane. This removal will allow the crew to perform bridge demolition and widening.

  • One northbound thru lane and one right-turn lane on NW South River Drive at the northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp have been removed.

    Lanes are reduced to one lane in each direction for approximately eight months while bridge reconstruction work is completed.

443931-1-52-01, 446189-1-52-01 : S.R. A1A/Collins Ave from 44 St to 4700 blk and Indian Creek from 41 St to 44 St and S.R. 112/W 41 St over the Indian Creek Waterway bridge

    • One northbound and/or southbound lane may be closed along Collins Avenue/Indian Creek Drive between 41 Street and the 4700 Block from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday for sidewalk, curb and gutter, and signalization work.

    • The southbound Indian Creek Drive right turn lane to westbound SR 112/ W 41st Street and the adjacent southbound through lane will be closed between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. One through lane will remain open. Motorists will be able to make the westbound right turn to W 41 Street from the inside lane or continue south on Indian Creek Drive.

    • The north sidewalk along S.R. 112/W 41 Street bridge will be continuously closed for approximately two months during bridge rehabilitation work. A detour is in place to guide pedestrians around the work. Pedestrians wishing to continue along the bridge will be directed to cross south at the Collins Avenue/Indian Creek Drive and S.R. 112/W 41 Street intersection and continue westbound along the bridge.

    • One northbound and/or one southbound lane may be closed along Collins Avenue/Indian Creek Drive between 41 Street and the 4700 Block from 9:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday night utility work.

429346-4-52-01 : S.R. 916/NW/NE 135 Street from NW 2 Avenue to NE 17 Avenue/Tressler Street

  • LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

    Lane closures shall occur only during non-peak hours or on non-event days/weekends. Non-peak hours are:

    • In the eastbound direction:
    • 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., within the limits of the school zone
    • 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., while school zone is active
    • In the westbound direction:
    • 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. within the limits of a school zone
    • 5 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., while school zone is active

    Lane closures shall not be permitted during school speed zone hours where such closures will affect traffic flow in the vicinity of the school speed zones.

  • LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

    • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 61 Street to NE 64 Street between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
    • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 64 Street to NE 6 Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.

    • No lane closures scheduled from April 20th through April 26th.

    Access to businesses and residences will be maintained. Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be established with clear signage. Lane closure information is posted weekly on the department's website, www.southflroads.com.

  • CONTINUOUS LANE CLOSURES ON NE 13 STREET AND BISCAYNE BOULEVARD FOR CRITICAL DRAINAGE WORK

    The weekend closure on NE 13 Street noted below and shown above is being implemented to allow the project contractor to continue the installation of new drainage pipes and structures across NE 13 Street to enhance the drainage capacity in the area:

    Friday, April 17 through Monday, April 20

    NE 13 Street will be continuously closed from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, April 17, until 6 a.m. on Monday, April 20.

    • Drivers on northbound Biscayne boulevard can:
      • Turn left on NE 11 Street
      • Turn right on NE 1 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
    • Drivers on southbound Biscayne boulevard can:
      • Turn right on NE 14 Street
      • Turn left on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street

    On Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19, all Biscayne Boulevard lanes will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 14 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

    Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24

    • NE 13 Street - Two of three lanes will be continuously closed around the clock from Biscayne Boulevard to NE 2 Avenue, with full closures occurring between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.  
    • Biscayne Boulevard - Full closures will be implemented from NE 11 Street to NE 14 Street between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. 

     

    Detours for Full Closures of Biscayne Boulevard and NE 13 Street:

    • Drivers on northbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
      • Turn left on NE 11 Street, then turn right on NE 1 Avenue
      • Turn right on NE 14 Street, then turn right on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
      • Or continue east to reconnect with Biscayne Boulevard
         
    • Drivers on southbound Biscayne Boulevard can:
      • Turn right on NE 14 Street, then turn left on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
      • Or continue south on NE 2 Avenue, then turn left on NE 11 Terrace to reconnect with Biscayne Boulevard
         
    • Drivers on the MacArthur Causeway ramp to Biscayne Boulevard can:
      • Turn right on N. Bayshore Drive, then turn left on NE 14 Street
      • Turn left on NE 2 Avenue to connect with NE 13 Street
      • Or continue south on NE 2 Avenue, then turn left on NE 11 Terrace to reconnect with Biscayne Boulevard

  • I-95

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.

  • SOUTHBOUND I-95 RAMP TO NW 14 STREET DETOUR

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - The southbound I-95 ramp to NW 14 Street will be closed as needed for materials delivery between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

    • Drivers can:  
      • Continue west on S.R. 836 and exit at NW 12 Avenue
      • Turn right on NW 12 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

  • I-395 MAINLINE LANE CLOSURES

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. 

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - Up to two lanes on mainline westbound 395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD, NE 13 STREET AND SOUTHBOUND NORTH BAYSHORE DRIVE

    Wednesday, April 15, Thursday, April 16 and Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 - The following closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Daytime lane closures will also be necessary at times between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.

    • All northbound and southbound lanes on Biscayne Boulevard from NE 14 Street to NE 11 Terrace
    • All lanes on NE 13 Street from N Bayshore Drive to NE 2 Avenue
    • All southbound lanes on North Bayshore Drive from NE 14 Street to NE 13 Street

  • S.R. 836 LANE CLOSURES

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m.

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.

  • COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Two lanes will be closed at 9 p.m. The closure on Fridays will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
    The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:

    • Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
    • Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
    • Turn right at South Miami Avenue
    • Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
    • Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace

     

    Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.

  • FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed as needed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Friday will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.

    Drivers on westbound S.R. 836 can:  

    • Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
    • Turn right on NW 7 Street
    • Turn right on NW 27 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

  • NW 14 STREET CLOSURE

    Wednesday, April 15 through Friday, April 17 and Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 - NW 14 Street will be closed from NW 7 Avenue to NW 10 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closure is necessary to work on bridge columns adjacent to the roadway. Every effort will be made to minimize noise as much as possible; however, nearby residents and businesses may experience periods of higher-than-normal noise levels.

    Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:        

    • Turn right on NW 7 Avenue, then turn left on NW 17 Street
    • Turn left on NW 9 Avenue and follow NW 10 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

    Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:        

    • Turn left on NW 10 Avenue and follow NW 9 Avenue, then turn right on NW 17 Street
    • Turn right on NW 7 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

436523-1-52-01 : S.R. 5/U.S. 1/Overseas Hwy over Channel 5 Bridge Project

  • Nighttime single-lane closures will take place on the Channel 5 Bridge Sunday, April 19, through Thursday, April 23, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

    Flaggers will periodically stop traffic in one direction to allow vehicles from the opposite direction to pass safely.

446231-1-52-01 : State Road (S.R.) 5/U.S. 1/Overseas Highway Seven Mile Bridge Over Moser Channel (Bridge #900101)

  •  A single-lane closure is scheduled on the Seven Mile Bridge beginning Sunday, April 26. at 8 p.m.  The closure will continue Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

    Flaggers will periodically stop traffic in one direction to allow vehicles from the opposite direction to pass safely.

    This work is expected to take approximately six weeks.

441964-1-52-01 : S.R. 5/U.S. 1/Long Key Bridge Rehabilitation Project

  • A single-lane closure is scheduled on the Long Key Bridge beginning Sunday, May 3 at 8 p.m. The closure will continue Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

    Flaggers will periodically stop traffic in one direction to allow vehicles from the opposite direction to pass safely.

    During these hours, traffic will be stopped in both directions periodically for up to 30 minutes for special bridge operations.

    This work is expected to take approximately six weeks.
