436565-1-52-01, 423251-3-52-01 : SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Rd from E of NW 87 Ave to NW 74 Ave, including SR 826/Palmetto Expy

  • General Lane Closures


    Closures may take place Monday through Saturday during the following hours:

     

    • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends
    • 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekdays.
    • 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on weekends.

  • The dedicated right-turn lane, along NW South River Dr, to access the southbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway on-ramp has been removed. Motorists will still be able to make right turn to access the on-ramp from the remaining travel lane. This removal will allow the crew to perform bridge demolition and widening.

  • One northbound thru lane and one right-turn lane on NW South River Drive at the northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp have been removed.

    Lanes are reduced to one lane in each direction for approximately eight months while bridge reconstruction work is completed.

  • General Lane Closures

    Closures may take place during the following hours:

    • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends.
    • 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekdays.
    • 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on weekends.

  • Starting Monday, June 1, 2026, various travel lane shifts will take place along S.R. 25/U.S. 27/Okeechobee Road to allow for the expansion of the work zone. These traffic shifts and lane reductions will begin at 11 p.m. each night and lanes will open to traffic at 5 a.m. the following morning. The dates and locations are as follows:

    • Monday, June 1, 2026, to Tuesday, June 2, 2026, westbound lanes along S.R. 25/U.S. 27/Okeechobee Road from S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway to east of W. 18 Avenue will be shifted to the north.
    • Tuesday, June 2, 2026, to Wednesday, June 3, 2026, eastbound lanes along S.R. 25/U.S. 27/Okeechobee Road from east of W. 18 Avenue to S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway will be shifted to the north.
    • Wednesday, June 3, 2026, to Thursday, June 4, 2026, Ramp C-R from Okeechobee Road to northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway will be shifted to the north.
    • Wednesday, June 3, 2026, exit lanes along the northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp will be reduced from two to one lane. Lanes along NW South River Drive will remain the same.

  • The eastbound lane along NW South River Dr between NW 91 Terr and NW 79 Ave is fully closed. This closure allows the crew to start the reconstruction of NW South River Dr.

    The closure will be in place through Fall 2026. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained at all times through NW 91 Terrace and NW 90 Street.

    The following traffic patterns are in place:

    • Westbound NW South River Drive will remain open to traffic.
    • Motorists traveling along eastbound NW South River Drive, approaching NW 79 Avenue, wishing to access Okeechobee Road in both directions, will be detoured as follows:
      • Make a right on NW 93 Terrace
      • Turn left on NW 82 Avenue
      • Make a left on NW 90 Street
      • A left on NW 79 Avenue
      • Continue past the intersection of NW South River Drive and NW 79 Avenue, to access Okeechobee Road in both directions.
    • Motorists traveling along eastbound NW South River Drive, approaching NW 79 Avenue, wishing to continue along eastbound NW South River Drive or access the southbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway on-ramp, will be detoured as follows:
      • Make a right on NW 93 Terrace
      • Turn left on NW 82 Avenue
      • Make a left on NW 90 Street
      • A left on NW 79 Avenue
      • Make a right on NW South River Drive to continue along east or access southbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway on-ramp

  • Starting on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 9 p.m., travel lanes in both directions along NW 95 Street between Frontage Road and NW 80 Avenue will be closed to traffic continuously for three weeks. Travel lanes are expected to reopen to traffic on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 5:30 a.m.

    This closure is necessary to allow crews to reconstruct NW 95 Street and pour the concrete pavement. Please use caution and follow the posted signage. Detours will be in place.

429346-4-52-01 : S.R. 916/NW/NE 135 Street from NW 2 Avenue to NE 17 Avenue/Tressler Street

  • LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

    Lane closures shall occur only during non-peak hours or on non-event days/weekends. Non-peak hours are:

    • In the eastbound direction:
    • 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., within the limits of the school zone
    • 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., while school zone is active
    • In the westbound direction:
    • 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. within the limits of a school zone
    • 5 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., while school zone is active

    Lane closures shall not be permitted during school speed zone hours where such closures will affect traffic flow in the vicinity of the school speed zones.

445996-1-52-01 : S.R. 5/U.S. 1/Biscayne Boulevard from NE 61 Street to NE 6 Avenue

  • LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

    • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 61 Street to NE 64 Street between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
    • Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 64 Street to NE 6 Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

    Stormwater drainage work closures will be in place:

    Roadway lane closures and detours will be established during any overhead work and as necessary to ensure safety during construction.

    • 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays
    • Single and double-lane closures along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard:
    • 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays
    • 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., Fridays and Saturdays

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.

    • No lane closures scheduled.

449369-1-52-01 : S.R. 986/Sunset Drive/SW 72 Street and S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway southbound off-ramp Intersection

  • Please be aware of lane closures occurring on June 10 and June 11 starting at 8:30 p.m. until 7 a.m. due to an underground installation operation. Expect detours on June 11.

    Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community. Lanes can be closed during the following hours on Sunday through Thursday:

    • Southbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway: 9 p.m. - 7 a.m.
    • S.R. 986/SW 72 Street/Sunset Drive: 9:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

    Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian and vehicular detours will be established with clear signage.

  • Work will be done in phases to reduce the effects of construction on the community.
    Lanes can be closed during the following hours, weekdays and weekends:

    • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., northbound and southbound
    • 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., northbound
    • 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., southbound

  • A full closure of Greco Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays will in effect starting Thursday, April 30th until Friday, June 19. During this time, please follow all posted detour signs and navigate the construction area with caution.

    An eastbound lane closure on Bird Road will begin on Monday, June 22 until Friday, July 3.  This closure will take plane from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. During this time, please follow all posted detour signs and navigate the construction area with caution.

    Lanes can be closed during the following hours:


    For construction along Bird Road requiring lane closures:

    • Eastbound: 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., weekdays
    • Westbound: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., weekdays


    For construction along LeJeune requiring lane closures:

    • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and weekends
    • 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights
    • 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., Friday and Saturday nights

  • I-95 LANE CLOSURES

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - Up to four lanes on southbound I-95 from NW 29 Street to NW 8 Street will be closed as needed between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 -  Up to four lanes on northbound I-95 will be closed as needed from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.

  • I-395 MAINLINE LANE CLOSURES

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - One lane on mainline eastbound I-395 will be closed as needed from I-95 to Biscayne Boulevard between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. 

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - Up to two lanes on mainline westbound I-395 will be closed as needed from Biscayne Boulevard to I-95 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • FULL CLOSURE OF BISCAYNE BOULEVARD

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - All travel lanes on Biscayne Boulevard will be closed from NE 11 Street to NE 13 Street between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The closures on June 17 and 20 will start at 12:30 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.

    Drivers on southbound Biscayne Boulevard can: 

    • Turn right on NE 13 Street and then turn left on NE 2 Avenue
    • Turn left on NE 11 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard

    Drivers on northbound Biscayne Boulevard can:

    • Turn left on NE 11 Street and then turn right on NE 1 Avenue
    • Turn right on NE 14 Street to connect with Biscayne Boulevard

  • NW 2 AVENUE DETOUR

    Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19 - NW 2 Avenue will be closed from NW 13 Street to NW 14 Street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work. Drivers should follow the posted detour routes.

  • S.R. 836 LANE CLOSURES

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 -Two eastbound lanes on S.R. 836 from NW 17 Avenue to I-95 will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m.

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - Two westbound lanes on S.R. 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed as needed for bridge work between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The Friday closures will be implemented between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.

  • COMPLETE CLOSURE OF EASTBOUND S.R. 836 AT NW 17 AVENUE

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - All eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will be closed at NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on Friday will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.
    The detours noted below and shown here will be in place to guide drivers around the work area. Drivers on eastbound S.R. 836 will:

    • Exit at NW 17 Avenue, then continue south across NW 7 Street
    • Turn left at SW 1 Street and continue east
    • Turn right at South Miami Avenue
    • Turn right to access the ramp to I-95 north or south
    • Drivers going to Biscayne Boulevard and the MacArthur Causeway can continue east on SW 1 Street and turn left on Biscayne Boulevard to connect with the MacArthur Causeway entrance ramp at NE 11 Terrace

    Drivers on NW 12 Avenue wanting to access eastbound S.R. 836, I-95, Biscayne Boulevard, and the MacArthur Causeway can continue south on NW 12 Avenue, turn left at SW 1 Street, and follow the detours above.

  • FULL CLOSURE OF WESTBOUND S.R. 836

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - All westbound lanes on S.R. 836 will be closed as needed from NW 12 Avenue to NW 17 Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures on June 17 and 20 will start at 12:30 a.m. Friday closures will be implemented between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. The start and end times will be adjusted on special event days.

    Drivers on westbound S.R. 836 can:  

    • Exit at the NW 12 Avenue ramp, then turn left on NW 12 Avenue
    • Turn right on NW 7 Street
    • Turn right on NW 17 Avenue and continue north to connect with the westbound S.R. 836 ramp

  • SOUTHBOUND S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 7 AVENUE LANE CLOSURE

    Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, and Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 - Two lanes on southbound NW 7 Avenue will be closed from NW 14 Street to NW 15 Street between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., and 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Drivers will be guided around the work zone.
