General Lane Closures

Closures may take place Monday through Saturday during the following hours:

• 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends
• 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekdays.
• 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on weekends.

The dedicated right-turn lane, along NW South River Dr, to access the southbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway on-ramp has been removed. Motorists will still be able to make right turn to access the on-ramp from the remaining travel lane. This removal will allow the crew to perform bridge demolition and widening.

Travel lanes along Frontage Road from NW 95 Street to NW 77 Avenue have been shifted south onto temporary pavement. This shift will be in place for approximately six months to allow for the reconstruction of Frontage Road. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.

One northbound thru lane and one right-turn lane on NW South River Drive at the northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp have been removed.

Lanes are reduced to one lane in each direction for approximately eight months while bridge reconstruction work is completed.

Starting on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11 p.m., travel lanes in both directions along NW 95 Street between Frontage Road and NW 80 Avenue will be closed to traffic continuously for two weeks. Travel lanes are expected to open to traffic on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 5:30 a.m. This closure is necessary for the reconstruction of NW 95 Street. 

Crews will continue bridge demolition over the northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp bridge to S.R. 27/U.S. 25/Okeechobee Road. To complete this work, travel lanes in both directions along NW South River Drive between the northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp and W 18 Avenue will beginning on Monday, March 23 until Monday, March 30, 2026. Travel lanes will be closed nightly at 11 p.m. and reopen daily by 5:30 a.m. the following day. Please use caution and follow the posted signage.

The following traffic patterns and detours will be in place:

• Northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp at S.R. 27/U.S. 25/Okeechobee Road will remain open.
• Northbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway off-ramp right turn to eastbound/southbound NW South River will not be permitted. Motorists wishing to turn right and continue along eastbound/southbound NW South River Drive will be detoured as follows:
  • Turn left at NW South River Drive.
  • Turn left at NW 79 Avenue
  • Turn left at NW 74 Street
  • Turn left at NW 72 Avenue/Milam Dairy Road to access eastbound/southbound NW South River Drive
• Motorists traveling along westbound/northbound NW South River Drive east of S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway, wishing to continue along westbound/northbound NW South River Drive, will be detoured as follows:
  • Turn left at NW 74 Avenue
  • Turn left at NW 79 Terrace
  • Turn right at NW 72 Avenue/Milam Dairy Road
  • Turn right at NW 74 Street
  • Turn right at NW 79 Place to access westbound/northbound NW South River Drive
• Motorists traveling along eastbound/southbound NW South River Drive west of S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway, wishing to continue along eastbound/southbound NW South River Drive, will be detoured as follows:
  • Turn right at NW 79 Avenue
  • Turn left at NW 74 Street
  • Turn left at NW 72 Avenue/Milam Dairy Road to access eastbound/southbound NW South River Drive

Travel lanes in both directions along Frontage Road between NW 79 Avenue and NW 77 Avenue will be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday, April 3, through Monday, April 6, 2026, for reconstruction. Access to driveways and businesses will be maintained at all times.

Southbound travel lanes on the NW 79 Avenue bridge at NW South River Drive will be shifted to the east beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2026. This shift is necessary to allow crews to perform bridge widening work.

DAYTIME FULL CLOSURE OF NW 14 STREET

Wednesday, March 11 through Monday, April 20 -   NW 14 Street from NW 3 Avenue to NW 1 Place will be closed Monday through Saturday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., to erect precast roadway segments. Drivers and pedestrians can use the detours shown here.

• Drivers on eastbound NW 14 Street can:  
  • Turn right on NW 3 Avenue, then turn left on NW 13 Street
  • Turn left on NW 1 Place to connect with NW 14 Street
• Drivers on westbound NW 14 Street can:  
  • Turn right on NW 1 Place, then turn left on NW 16 Street
  • Turn left on NW 2 Avenue to continue onto NW 16 Street
  • Turn left on NW 3 Avenue to connect with NW 14 Street

• One northbound and/or southbound lane may be closed along Collins Avenue/Indian Creek Drive between 41 Street and the 4700 Block from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday for sidewalk, curb and gutter, and signalization work.

• The southbound Indian Creek Drive right turn lane to westbound SR 112/ W 41st Street and the adjacent southbound through lane will be closed between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. One through lane will remain open. Motorists will be able to make the westbound right turn to W 41 Street from the inside lane or continue south on Indian Creek Drive.

• The north sidewalk along S.R. 112/W 41 Street bridge will be continuously closed for approximately two months during bridge rehabilitation work. A detour is in place to guide pedestrians around the work. Pedestrians wishing to continue along the bridge will be directed to cross south at the Collins Avenue/Indian Creek Drive and S.R. 112/W 41 Street intersection and continue westbound along the bridge.

• One northbound and/or one southbound lane may be closed along Collins Avenue/Indian Creek Drive between 41 Street and the 4700 Block from 9:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday night utility work.

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Lane closures shall occur only during non-peak hours or on non-event days/weekends. Non-peak hours are:

• In the eastbound direction:
• 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., within the limits of the school zone
• 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., while school zone is active
• In the westbound direction:
• 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. within the limits of a school zone
• 5 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., while school zone is active

Lane closures shall not be permitted during school speed zone hours where such closures will affect traffic flow in the vicinity of the school speed zones.

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

• Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 61 Street to NE 64 Street between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
• Up to one southbound or northbound lane along S.R. 5/Biscayne Boulevard will be closed (as needed) from NE 64 Street to NE 6 Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and at night between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION

Travel lanes and sidewalks shall only be closed during non-peak hours on non-event days. Non-peak hours are:

• 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., weekends and weekdays

• Please be advised that work may be performed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weekdays.

• For guardrail installation only:

• Fridays, 9 p.m. through Mondays, 5 a.m. (excluding holidays)

No work or lane closures are allowed during school speed zone hours.

Nighttime single-lane closures will take place on the Channel 5 Bridge Sunday, March 22 through Thursday, March 26, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

Flaggers will periodically stop traffic in one direction to allow vehicles from the opposite direction to pass safely.

Nighttime single-lane closures are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 26, ending by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Nighttime single-lane closures are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday, March 22, through Thursday, March 26.
