The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project along State Road (SR) 913/SW-SE 26 Road from SW 1 Avenue to Rickenbacker Causeway, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Constructing a bicycle lane along SW 26 Road from north of SW 1 Avenue to south of South Miami Avenue
- Installing green-colored bicycle markings
- Widening the sidewalk on the north side of the road
- Upgrading signage and pavement markings
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
- Upgrading pedestrian curb ramps and crosswalks
- Upgrading pedestrian signals at S. Miami Ave. and Brickell Avenue
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC:
During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and residences will be maintained.
