The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project along State Road (SR) 90/Tamiami Trail/SW 8 Street from Beacom Boulevard to SW 2 Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Removing eleven parking spaces between SW 3 Avenue and SW 2 Avenue to make way for a new through lane
- Improving drainage between SW 21 Avenue and SW 19 Avenue
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
- Enhancing curb ramps, pedestrian signalization and signage
- Improving vehicular signage
- Adding a new traffic signal at the intersections of SW 4 Avenue, SW 3 Avenue and SW 2 Avenue
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC
During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Access to adjacent businesses and residences will be maintained.
A Public Hearing was held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Miami-Dade College Eduardo J. Padron Campus.
