The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project located along SR 922/NE 123 Street from NE 16 Avenue to NE 19 Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Repaving and restriping the roadway
- Widening for additional westbound left-turn lane and modifying traffic median
- Adjusting manholes
- Adding a new traffic signal at the NW corner of SR 5/US 1 and NE 123 Street
- Upgrading curb ramps, pedestrian signals and crosswalk pavement markings to high emphasis
- Extending westbound right turn lane
- Upgrading traffic signage and pavement markings
- Eliminating westbound left turn access to NE 18 Avenue southbound
- Relocating four palm trees located on the westbound approach due to widening
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC
During construction, there will be temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours will have effects on traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained.
