The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway project along State Road (SR) 916/NW 136 Street/NW 135 Street from NW 30 Avenue to NW 27 Avenue, in Miami-Dade County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Modifying the intersection of NW 136 Street and NW 27 Avenue by shifting the westbound Opa-Locka Boulevard entrance further west to improve safety
- Enhancing lanes at the intersection of NW 135 street and NW 27 Avenue by adding westbound dual left turns
- Adding a new traffic signal
- Improving sidewalk connectivity
- Upgrading pedestrian signage, signals and ramps
- Repaving and restriping the road
- Improving drainage
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC:
During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Access will be maintained. Flaggers will be used to control traffic flow.

Sherbondy Village, 215 Perviz Avenue, Opa-Locka, FL 33054 starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Septebmer 21.
All current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines will be followed.
