The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a landscape project along State Road (SR) 5/Overseas Highway from Mile Marker (MM) 77.47/Lignumvitae Channel Bridge to MM 81.44/Jerome Avenue, in Monroe County.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Installing native trees and palms to improve aesthetics of the roadway
- Adding a landscape buffer along the roadway
- Removing and replacing diseased and damaged trees
- Installing wood barriers to protect existing vegetation
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC (MOT):
Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will have minimal effects on traffic.
