TRANSPORTATION

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for two roadway projects located along SR 9A/I-95 Ramps from the Rickenbacker Causeway to SW 25 Road and from SR 90/SW 8 Street to SW 7 Street, in Miami-Dade County. 

WORK TO BE PERFORMED: 

• Widening the roadway on I-95 southbound off ramp to SW 25 Road

• Rehabilitating the concrete pavement

• Repaving and restriping the roadway

• Improving lighting and signalization

• Reconstructing sidewalk and curb and gutter

• Upgrading traffic signals and signage

• Trimming landscape encroaching the roadway

• Upgrading pedestrian signing and pavement markings

• Upgrading guardrail

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC

During construction, temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and detours may affect traffic. Pedestrian detours will be established with clear signage. Access to adjacent businesses and residences will be maintained.
