The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for two roadway projects located along SR 970/SR 5/Downtown Distributor Ramps from South Miami Avenue to SE 2 Avenue and along SR 9A/I-95 from SR 90/SW 8 Street to S Dixie Highway, in Miami-Dade County. 

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

SR 970/SR 5/Downtown Distributor Ramps from South Miami Avenue to SE 2 Avenue

  • Rehabilitating the concrete pavement
  • Repaving and restriping the road
  • Reconstructing guardrail
  • Adjusting manholes
  • Upgrading existing damaged curb and gutter and pavement markings
  • Reconstructing damaged sidewalks at pedestrian crossings
  • Upgrading signage
  • Trimming landscape
  • Providing crosswalks and countdown signals with push buttons 

SR 9A/I-95 from SR 90/SW 8 Street to S Dixie Highway

  • Repaving and restriping the shoulder pavement
  • Upgrading guardrail
  • Upgrading vehicular signs
  • Replacing pavement markings 
  • Installing signage
