The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a drainage project on November 1, 2022 at two locations, First Street and George Street, along Sate Road (SR) 5/North Roosevelt Boulevard in Monroe County.

- Closure of the right turn lanes at N. Roosevelt Blvd and First Street
- Closure of sidewalks at N. Roosevelt Blvd and First Street with pedestrian detours established
- Closure of bus drop off lane
