Krome Avenue Projects

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be developing design plans for a roadway widening and reconstruction project along SW 312 Street/Campbell Drive from SR 997/Krome Avenue to SR 5/US 1, and along SW 312 Street/Campbell Drive, SW 336 Street/Davis Parkway and SR 9336/Palm Drive from Krome Avenue to US 1, in Miami-Dade County.

Project: SW 312 Street/Campbell Drive from SR 997/Krome Avenue to SR 5/US 1

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

  • Widening of Campbell Drive from West of Krome Avenue to East of US 1
  • Reconstructing the roadway from Krome Avenue to US 1
  • Providing two 11-foot thru lanes in each direction
  • Upgrading signage pavement markings to current standards
  • Improving existing traffic and pedestrian signals to current standards
  • Installing new drainage and lighting

Project: SW 336 Street/Davis Parkway from SR 997/Krome Avenue to SR 5/US 1

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

  • Reconstructing Davis Parkway to extend the capacity of existing pavement to facilitate truck bypass
  • Adding right turn lanes at the intersections of Davis Parkway and Krome Avenue and Davis Parkway and US 1
  • Improving drainage throughout the project limits
  • Adding sidewalk on Davis Parkway
  • Repaving and restriping the roadway
  • Installing curb ramps
  • Upgrading lighting, signalization, signing and pavement markings, crosswalks
     

Project: SR 9336/Palm Drive/SW 344 Street from SR 997/Krome Avenue to SR 5/US 1

WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

  • Adding right turn lanes southbound to westbound at the intersections of Krome Avenue and US 1
  • Repaving and restriping the roadway
  • Upgrading lighting, signalization, signing and pavement markings
  • Improving drainage along Krome Avenue

 MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC (MOT):

Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will have minimal effects on traffic.
