This project will take place on SR5/Overseas Hwy from MM 86.8 to MM 90.0 on Plantation Key.

 

Project Summary

The work to be performed consists of re-surfacing and re-striping the roadway; shoulder widening and reconstruction to include a 10-foot northbound shoulder to be used as an evacuation lane for evacuation purposes; constructing new swales and seepage trenches for drainage; constructing a new traffic signal and pedestrian crossing at Coral Shores High School.

 

Start Date: Late April 2008

Completion: Early Spring 2009

 

Construction Cost: $4.6 million
