Project Summary
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six is developing the design for a roadway project along SR 986/SW 72 Street/ Sunset Drive from SW 109 Place to SW 87 Avenue in Miami-Dade County. The work includes:
• Repaving the road
• Installing detectible warning surfaces at all pedestrians ramps
• Adding new sidewalk underneath the SR 874 overpass
• Reconstructing sidewalks at specific locations
• Reconstructing the bicycle/pedestrian Shared Use Path at specific locations
• Installing new signs at specific locations along the entire project
• Installing new street name signs with built-in lights at SW 92 Avenue, SW 102 Avenue and SW 107 Avenue
• Installing countdown-type pedestrians signals at specific locations
• Repairing the road as it approaches the CSX railroad crossing
