The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for a roadway improvement project along State Road (SR) 25/US 27/Okeechobee Road from SE 7 Avenue to NW 36 Street, in Miami-Dade County.


  • Repaving and restriping the roadway along SR 25
  • Upgrading signage pavement markings to current standards
  • Improving existing traffic and pedestrian signals to current standards
  • Closing unused or abandoned driveways
  • Adding a dual-left turn lane at SR 953/LeJeune Road Southbound and US 27/Okeechobee Road
  • Adding pedestrian features on existing median to enhance safety
  • Repairing sidewalks and pedestrian ramps


Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will have minimal effects on traffic.
