Project Summary
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six is developing the design for a roadway project along SR A1A/Collins Avenue from 5 Street to Lincoln Road in the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County.
Project Details:
- Repaving and restriping the road
- Widening the lanes between 15 Street and 16 Street
- Reconstructing sidewalks
- Upgrading signage, including electronic signs at 17 street and at Lincoln Road
- Upgrading pedestrian ramps, countdown pedestrian signals and crosswalks
- Upgrading drainage
- Relocating utilities, if necessary
- Reducing parking width and travel lanes to provide an exclusive left turn lane throughout the road
- Installing sidewalk curb extensions at each intersection
