South Florida Roads (Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties)


The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is developing the design for three roadway resurfacing projects along State Road (SR) 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue from north of SR 934/NW 79 Street to south of Biscayne Canal, in Miami-Dade County.


  • Repaving and restriping the roadway
  • Eliminating outside lanes and replacing with on-street parking and bicycle lanes
  • Reconstructing sidewalks at signalized intersections
  • Improving existing traffic signals
  • Upgrading pavement markings, pedestrian signs and signals
  • Enhancing existing lighting system at all signalized intersections
  • Modifying existing medians and installing medians
  • Adding curb extensions


Temporary lane closures during non-peak hours will have minimal effects on traffic. Access to all properties along NW 7 Avenue will be maintained at all times.
