PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six is developing the design for a roadway project along SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway
from east of West Indies Drive to west of Palmetto Avenue on Ramrod Key, Torch Key and Big Pine Key in Monroe County.
PROJECT DETAILS:
• Repaving and restriping the road to extend the life of the road
• Upgrading signage to current standards
• Providing concrete slabs for access to the buses from the bus stops
• Extending right and left turn lanes at various locations
• Widening and repaving shoulders to provide bicycle access
