PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six is developing the design for a roadway project along SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway
from Blue Isle Boulevard at Duck Key (Mile Marker 59.9) to Craig Key
(Mile Marker 73.4) in Islamorada, Monroe County.
PROJECT DETAILS:
• Repaving and restriping the road to extend the life of the road
• Upgrading the signage to current standards
• Installing guardrails along the road
• Upgrading the northbound 10 foot shoulder
Anticipated Construction Start Date: April 2013
