- Reconstructing the road within project limits
- Raising the road
- Widening existing parking lanes from 43 Street to Pine Tree Drive
- Installing new signs and pavement markings including bicycle facilities
- Installing new storm water drainage system including curb inlets and three pump stations (one will be designed and built by the City of Miami Beach), with outfalls into the Intracoastal Waterway
- Upgrading roadway lighting to LED
- Upgrading signal mast arms
- Upgrading sidewalks and pedestrian ramps to meet current standards
