This project includes planting trees, shrubs and sod to enhance overall aesthetics; installing native trees and shrubs to buffer the Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail; removing invasive exotic vegetation as well as diseased and damaged trees.

This work will take roughly five months to be completed, followed by a two-year period to allow the newly planted trees and other foliage to become established.

There are no lane closures or detours anticipated for this project as all work will be conducted outside of the main lanes.

Should there be a need for deliveries, the contractor will ensure that construction cones are used to alert commuters, bicyclists and pedestrians of this activity.
